John Henry is a nice very well broke draft cross gelding. He stands 15.2 hands tall and is 8 years old.
He has been used in the mountains behind cattle and been on countless trail rides. He walks out good and a loose rein and has a nice one handed neck rein. He is confident on the trail and goes where you point him.
He also rides nice in the arena. John Henry picks his leads from a stand still and lopes nice circles. He is soft in the mouth and responds well to leg cues also. He will back up, side pass, stop and turn around soft and easily. You will be surprised how smooth he rides. He is and attractive looking horse with lots of chrome, a snow white tail, four white legs and 4 black hooves to boot... surely to get you noticed everywhere you go. John Henry has always been gentle and saddles up the same everyday. He is easy and polite to be around, tack up, ride, catch and haul. He is good with tarps, bull whips, dragging anything and you can carry the flag on him also.
He has been picked up on a few times and we have roped and started quite a few colts off him as well.
He is everything you are looking for in a draft cross. Gentle and laid back, but still handy and fun to ride and you can get your job done as well. He's got good bone and foot and still not to tall to get on. John Henry is also taught to come pick you up off anything you crawl up on and laying down for easy mounting and dismounting.
