Foxy is a very fancy, registered, sports horse mare. She is 3 years old and stands 15.1 hands tall. We raised her right here in Sheridan Wyoming out of a nice roan Quarter Horse mare and by our Shire stallion Alexander. Her mother has both Leo, Sun Frost, Sugar Bars right on here papers.
Foxy has been so easy to work with from the very beginning. She is very smart and willing and takes everything we through at her in stride. She never has offered to buck and has always been gentle and easy to ride, train and handle.
We have ridden her all over the ranch in the foothills of the mountains, and she was also used last summer on a grazing permit in the Big Horn Mountains behind cattle. She goes out on the trail with confidence and goes where you point her. She travels out on a nice loose rein and has a nice walk. We have also ridden her in the arena and she will pick both leads and lope nice collected circles. She sidepasses, does turn arounds and stops nice and correctly. She is soft in the mouth and responds well to leg cues. Foxy is a really fun mare to ride as she feels gentle and safe, but still has enough feel and athletic ability to do everything you want her to do. She has also been exposed to all the tricks like tarps, bull whips, dragging stuff, the big ball and so on. None of that bothers her at all.
We have also used her to start colts, roping them and teaching them to lead.
This is just a very sweet and easy mare to have around. There is no bad habits and she is what we like to call a drama free horse. We think about anybody should be able to go on with her. She would make a great english or western arena horse, trail horse or ranch horse. We think only the sky is the limit for Foxy.
